When I tried to use a stainless steel camping pan on my camp stove, it cracked and deformed as soon as the flame hit the bottom. This titanium pan didn't appear to warp at all during cooking (although the burn marks made it difficult to be entirely sure). I've never cooked with titanium, but it doesn't seem to retain any heat at all, so anything you're cooking needs to be right over the flame to really cook. Stainless steel camp pans are very thin and don't retain heat well, but cool down even faster. In general very satisfied. The food was cooked perfectly and the skillet didn't add any flavor that I could detect.
