Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Shop Fox D2271 Heavy-Duty 9 Roller Table for Improved Performance and Durability by Justin Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy all-metal construction and independently adjustable feet.

Beautiful rolling table. All steel structures. The four legs are independently adjustable to ensure perfect leveling on uneven surfaces. Easy construction. The only negative comment is that the holes in the U-channel into which the rollers are inserted are not drilled exactly. As a result, two rollers were flush with the U-profile rails and made them unusable as rollers. However, only one side is badly drilled. This doesn't seem to affect functionality negatively, but can leave marks on your fine wood if you're not careful. The steel axle on which the rollers are suspended has a much smaller outside diameter than the inside diameter of the bearings used. The question arises whether the rolling bearing unit rotates on a spindle or on a bearing. Obviously it would be better if it turned on a bearing as the spindles will ramp up and wear out over time. Inserting a tight-fitting rubber bushing through the pre-drilled holes in the rails holds the spindles in place and also helps align the rollers at the correct height. However, changing the height of the casters will still be an issue. It would be better to ship the reel unit fully assembled and press the spindle/shaft into the bearings. The packaging could have been better. When it got to me the box had so many tears and punctures that one of the bearings fell out of the box. However, they very quickly replaced the reel assembly. All of this could have been avoided with better quality control and a better understanding of how bearings work. Not unhappy, just disappointed.
