I've been using this clamp for about 6 months now with no problems. It is easy to attach and easy to adjust. Of course I only had a 13" tom hooked up to it so I can't comment on how well it would work with the kick drum, but it worked great for me. The mount is long enough for a long setup and has the stand, not damaged to which it is attached.If anything goes wrong I'll keep you posted.
