This worked great for lighting a candle but I don't feel comfortable keeping it at home as it can easily catch fire and start a fire if accidentally leaning against the button . The lighter button is very easy to press as if there is no resistance. Unlike a regular lighter, where you have to push the button with quite a bit of resistance while pulling the lever to create a flame, this lighter doesn't have such a safety mechanism. There is an on/off switch, but this requires the user to remember to turn it off before storing. It's not enough for me, especially if you have teenagers or other young (or older) people who might use it, they might forget to switch it to the "off" position.
