I wanted some SFP transceiver modules to connect 1GB devices from my network to an XG-16 switch. These modules did just that and saved me a ton of money by not having to buy sfp+ transceiver modules. I had to insert the module into the sfp+ slot until it clicks and then plug in the cat6 cable. To remove the module, you must twist the front of the module until it pops out, then you can pull it out all the way. If you want to connect a 10GB device like the Aquantia 107, you'll need a different adapter. or get stuck at 1GB transfer speeds. This module is perfect for those old 1GB devices! However, please note that this module is not backward compatible with 1MB/10MB/100MB devices. It only supports 1GB devices.
