However, the bedding had been in the flight cage for less than 24 hours, and I woke up to find my canary hanging by the bed cord by the neck. Please please please, if you are purchasing this item, THROW OUT THE LINEN that came with this order. This is a synthetic material that birds can get tangled in and not chew through. I wish someone would tell me that before I put the litter in the nest. I hope this saves someone's cute canary. I have lovesickness. The nest itself is well made and very sturdy and all hardware is included.
