Review on πŸ•°οΈ MILTAT Seiko Alpinist SARB017 Men's Watch with Screw Link Bracelet by Mark Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality but too thick and heavy for the alpinist

It's almost as good as it gets when it comes to installing the Sarb 017. Guaranteed quality with screw links, strong links and a perfect fit. End links and a milled clasp make it a hit. Just one big downside. This strap is too heavy and thick for the petite 39mm climber. The clasp is also an oversized diver style clasp. It's not convenient. It's like they took a massive diver's bracelet and added Alpinist-specific end links without considering the Alpinist's design and weight. For the price it should fit and feel good. Additionally, the end links are pin links on the body, so they increase significantly from kick-off to kick-off. Add all of that, and this strap lets the Alpinist wear it like a 43mm Seiko SKX, visually reducing the size of the dial. It is strange. Some may prefer this. Not me. Too bad. I wanted to like it.
