Saved my dog โ€‹โ€‹from a bad accident

I was riding my dog Capone in the back seat of a Kurgo harness when someone turned on a red light and hit us on the passenger side. My airbag deployed and the car was wrecked, so don't bend the fenders. I was shocked and got a slight concussion. Capone, on the other hand, was unimpressed. The leash held him in place and he was completely unharmed. He wasn't even afraid. He was just thrilled that someone he'd never seen opened the door. In fact, he spent the time of his life catching the attention of so many rescuers! There was a small tear in the seat belts where the bib and neck belt connects after the accident so I'm going to replace it for safety reasons but guys the car was a T-Bone. I don't mind spending another $30-$40 to get another suspension after an accident like this. I just wish it was that easy to get another car ;-) The only downside I feel about seat belts is that they aren't easy to use. It has a very high learning curve, the buckles are the strangest I've seen and difficult to close even with practice. But that's because they're built for bugs, not usability. The click to release buckles is the main weak point of most harnesses, so I'll take the hassle for the security trade-off.
