Review on Aurora High-Security Micro-Cut Shredder for Paper, πŸ”’ CD/DVDs, and Credit Cards (8-Sheet Capacity) in White/Gray by Matthew Ciula

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quiet and reliable shredders

I had an Aurora shredder 12-15 years ago that ran about a year ago. I needed a new one and decided on this one. 14 sheets of paper? Yes, it will, but most of the time I just shred junk mail and old credit cards. My previous one was transverse. This skins into the p4 microcut. Much better than my predecessor. Huge bin that slides out easily to empty and is quiet compared to my old one. It will also work for a long time. My previous one lasted about six minutes continuously before you had to wait about 45 minutes to cool down. It takes over 30 minutes. It'll also shred CDs if you need to shred up all your old, old credit cards and turn them all into little bits. Some CD shredders cut them into strips, but this one shreds them into chunks. Striped CDs can still hold a lot of data that's technically possible (although really. Who's going to keep track of your stuff like that. If you really need to get rid of data that seriously, you probably don't use any of the ). Safe to use as the device will not function without a fully attached bin and wheels. This is probably my favorite part. I roll it around in front of the TV when I shred to check out while shredding my monthly junk.

Pros
  • Useful for more than what they intended
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
