I was able to repair the popcorn on my garage ceiling with this gun. I bought the yellow hopper gun, so that when you are spraying the ceiling, the hopper doesn't spill on you, plus you can remove the angled plastic connector when you are spaying walls. More diversity. First, some of the hardware that come on this thing is complete garbage. Replace both hose clamps. The ones that come with it are so cheap and you will not be able to tighten the mud hopper to the gun. Second, you will have to replace the air hose coupler. I'm not sure what size that comes with it, but it will not fit a standard air compressor. You need a 1/4 in.-18 NPT coupler. The ball valve works ok, but looks very lightweight, so be careful with it. I used a small 3 gallon pancake style air compressor set at 40PSI. I used the smallest sized nozzle. I had great results.
