Review on πŸ”₯ Smart Wireless Meat Thermometer with Bluetooth, 165ft Long Range and Assisted Cooking for BBQ, Oven, Deep Frying, and More by Jess Gunderson

No Wi-Fi connection, bad app

Temperatures were correct. I tested it with two other thermometers and the temperatures were the same. This thermometer looks like a copy of another wireless sensor thermometer (same price), but with fewer features and a less reliable monitoring app. Comparable wireless probe thermometers usually measure the ambient temperature with the exposed part of the probe and they CAN also connect to Wi-Fi. The only way to use this for temperature control is to make sure your device stays within range of the bluetooth sensor. I didn't measure, but I'm guessing 165 feet doesn't count when going through a wall. This can be difficult on long cooks, especially if the meat is sensitive to the opening and closing of the cooking utensil, or if your range loses a lot of heat when you open it. The app doesn't let you set a custom notification temperature. It has many different meats (steak, veal, lamb, venison, pork, etc.) without the ability to simply enter the target temperature. It seems easy to do.
