Bought mainly to grate cheese lightly. Used it with hard cheddar blocks and it was more trouble than it was worth. First the cheese had to be cut into matching squares. I knew that before I bought it, but little did I know that a good chunk of cheese would get stuck between the grater and the clear plastic piece that came with it. It didn't rub easily and didn't give me the kind of grid I wanted. Also, I tried slicing cucumbers with it and the sliced cucumbers were so thin they just fell apart. I will look for it but I was disappointed and sent it back. It was very nice and I see people easily using it in videos but it didn't work for me. It was easy to clean under hot water and the suction power on my quartz countertop was great.
