I followed the directions exactly and it started moving but after 6 seconds or more it stopped and got stuck in the glass. I did everything the instructions said but it got hot so I had to get it outside quickly in case it exploded. After my son-in-law finally removed the can, we found that the batteries' paper had torn from the heat. I used the correct size glass so that wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, this can opener is scrap!
