Advantages: 1. Instead of just bubbling up and falling to the ground, it circulates around the room 2. No disturbing lights when you're trying to sleep. 3. Lots of devices turn on and off automatically, which wakes me up, but this one, even when it's reached the right humidity level, keeps blowing with a fan so it doesn't bother. 4. Two gallon tank so you don't have to keep refilling it. 5. We live in Utah where humidity hovers around 25%. Not only is that great for our bedroom, but for the overall humidity in our 3,200 square foot home. 6. Due to our dry climate, I started snoring and woke up to dry throat and nose. In that respect it made a big difference. First, I bought TaoTronics TT-AH001. The Tao is well done but lacking in a few places. 1. It bubbles and then the mist falls just a few meters from the nozzle. 2. It is designed to humidify only about 200 square meters. Feet, which is too small for a bedroom. 3. The tank is really big enough to run it for a night while you sleep. In order to really humidify a room properly, you need to be able to use it longer, as your bed, clothes, carpet, etc. will absorb some level of moisture. So the Tao and its other dimensions can only really affect humidity if you stay 2 feet or less from them. Get some white powder, but the level is a worthy compromise for net benefit.
