Snake Grabber in my review

This tool is a life saver if you live in areas with lots of snakes. It can be expensive to have a snake removed from your property ($500 or more depending on how many snakes, location, and etc.). We live in an area that is wooded so there are a lot of snakes during the summer months. We cannot kill the snakes because you can get fined in my state, so removal is the best option. This tool has at least a six foot length to give distance between you and the snake. No one wants to be an inch from a poisonous snake trying to grab it. It has an attachment that grabs the snake (we were advised to try to use the grabber attachment to grab the snake near the head, so that it cannot recoil or come back to bite.Once you have the snake with the grabber you will want a 3-5 gallon paint bucket with a lid (Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, and Tractor Supply should have some). You will lower the snake in to the bucket head first and put the lid on leaving room to remove the grabber stick and put a heavy object (a rock or whatever) on the lid to ensure the snake does not get out while you secure the lid on the bucket. Now you can take the snake to a wildlife reserve or release it back to the woods

Pros
  • Good product with sturdy bar and strong grip
Cons
  • The wide jaw design may be too cumbersome for smaller reptiles or insects, making the tool impractical for everyday use
