This engine runs well on its own but is not a direct replacement for the 2006 Ford Freestar. It's definitely "this device fits many". The most frustrating thing is that the factory bolts don't fit this engine. Threads are different. If there were only 3 standard screws it would be easy enough to buy new ones. However, one of the studs is unique and looks more like a mounting stud. I also had to rip the connector off the old block as the connectors weren't the right ones. So as long as you're willing to put in some work, this is a good buy.
