Well made camera tripod mount, adapts to mic stand. I needed a spotting scope in a small footprint) and the microphone stand was a good solution. This product completed the project. The setup itself I've put together is far from ideal for photography, and don't expect a tripod head to give you the same amount of slow pan fine-tuning as an expensive tripod setup. However, the pan head locks easily and unlocks quickly, providing a full 360 degree view and multiple height adjustments for most ground surveillance applications. My setup also wobbles a bit (no fault of the tripod head) due to the weight of the rifle scope used and the extension, but that is tolerable and shouldn't matter for other applications. Smaller units mounted directly on a mic stand have little to no rocking.
