I liked the idea of this leash and its length. It would be nice to tie my puppies to the bed so he doesn't eat the rest of the room. Unfortunately it only lasted two nights before he chewed and my poor dressers, dresses, picture frames, paintings died a sad death. Trust me I tried everything to keep the beast but nothing worked (he goes back to the breeder for various reasons). The attached wooden bed is intact - the legs of the headboard are in perfect condition thanks to the handle and rope. This leash might suit those trying to use it for hiking, it seemed quite comfortable. I really hoped that I would survive with my teeth, but unfortunately not very much. If you have a dog that chews on a leash, this may not be for you. I'm not sure if I can tie what has been chewed up and sewn up and sew it up for a few more days or if I have to throw it away. Was too busy cleaning up everything else to check. If you're using for the same purpose as me, get cheaper training cords (at least four) so they can be rotated and locked in place while you're using a different one. Can't comment on how it performs hiking but looks like it will be fine. Hope this helps someone out there
