Compared to the Allen 900b, this bar is a no-brainer. The only limitation I have is the maximum weight limit of 33 pounds. It worked well on both my wife's bike and my son and daughter's bikes. The rubber heads protect the bikes well and the locking mechanism on the heads keeps them closed and easy to open. Some reviews of other crossbars have criticized the length locking mechanism. This one doesn't have it, but as long as the head stays locked and the bar can support the weight, I don't see that as a problem.
