Review on 🔊 Enhanced Kenwood KFC1666S 6 1/2" 2-Way Automotive Speaker for Optimal Audio Experience by Hals Martin

I wish I had read the reviews first. I had no doubt that these speakers were Kenwood two-way speakers, with all the features to match my new Kenwood head unit. One of my stock speakers (which didn't sound too bad) failed, so I bought two pairs to "upgrade" all four, expecting an improvement. I switched a pair first to see how they compare and I couldn't believe my ears! I was beginning to think something was wrong with my head unit so I replaced the existing front pair with these Kenwoods which I put in the rear and the stock ones sounded good in the rear and the problem moved forward with the Kenwood! . Kenwood has to get these third parties and put their name on them or something. It sounds like someone taped a rag to it. No high frequencies with the tweeters, no low frequencies with the base. Everything is just muted. My main unit has excellent crossover settings. There is no significant effect from them. Unbelievable. At least I didn't put all four in and still had two standard speakers to compare. I can't see how they got any good reviews at all unless those users have discerning tastes in sound quality. I don't like to be negative and I don't even write many reviews but I just had to save someone the heartache of sharing my disappointing experience.
