Review on Cinema projector BenQ W2700i by Stanislaw Kesicki ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

In general, the projector is terribly satisfied. This is a real revolution in technology. TV? Nope, not at all. The projector has a whole bunch of settings. Once at the beginning I played around, set it up as it was pleasant for the eye and forgot. Right now the remote is only used to turn it on and off. Would I buy again? Yes, sure. I don't see any alternatives. Perhaps it would be worth considering his younger brother in the lineup, but alas, it is impossible to compare live - there is simply nowhere. Reviews on YouTube all unanimously praise this model. Actually her choice and stopped and did not regret. Although the device is clearly not perfect.

Pros
  • Bought in February for 127 thousand. Before this projector was Acer H5350 HD Ready (720p). I will compare with him (he served me faithfully for 10 years. Flight time is 2200 hours in eco mode. Fully serviceable. I put it in the box, it's a pity to sell it.) Let's go back to Benq. What I liked was the picture quality. 4K HDR is simply amazing. It seems that you can plunge into what is happening on the screen. Detailing, colors, well, just fantastic. You can approach the screen at arm's length and even at this distance you can't see the pixels and the picture is very watchable. There is a black color and it is very good! The room is fully prepared - no windows, black ceiling, dark walls. I use economy mode. It is worth noting that there are several economical modes. There is a silence mode and 4k is turned off with it (did not use it). The firmware is the latest from the factory, there are no problems with HDR, which are described in the reviews earlier. Everything works without glitches. I tried 3D, it also looks amazing, I took palmexx glasses. As for DLP and rainbow. On my old ACER, there is no rainbow, but it was noticeable, although I got used to it and generally did not notice it. I have never seen a rainbow on benq. Even with specially quick eye movements, he tried to see a rainbow, but did not see it. Flight time at the time of recall was about 150 hours.
Cons
  • 1. Chromatic aberrations. You do not expect this from a projector of this level for such horse money. This was not the case with my ancient Acer. And this is not connected with the screen, because. all these charms can be seen on anything, if you put it in front of the screen. Even just on the hand - everything is perfectly visible. It should be noted that they are visible when viewed from a distance of about a meter from the screen. They do not always appear and do not interfere with watching a movie, because. not noticeable from a distance. But it's still not pleasant. 2. Noise. Well, he's buzzing. Well, it's making noise. And this is in the economy lamp mode. Yes, you get used to it, but it takes some time to get used to. Acer in the economy was not audible at all, as if it were not there. Something is buzzing overhead. Now louder, then quieter, then generally like a vacuum cleaner. It would probably be better if the fan speed was static. Then it would be easier to get used to. And the tone is constantly changing. In general, it could be much quieter. And it should be much quieter! I hope the next Benq models will take care of this. I consider this shortcoming to be serious. It won't suit everyone.
