Package comes with 5 1/4" female tube fittings to accept a 1/4" female fitting. They were easy to install as part of a DIY project. Groove marks are correctly aligned and easy to assemble. It seems the hex shape can be useful during installation/repair as it can provide extra grip (with fitting or pliers) during installation. does his job.
