These straws are awesome! I've had them for a few months now and they are easy to clean and well made. They are great for my everyday smoothie and the length is perfect for a tall glass. The ability to stir the separated drink also comes in handy when using a glass straw instead of a flexing plastic straw. I use mine at home and outside. I had never used a hot drink straw prior to this purchase and found it to be a pleasure to use with my favorite hot coffee and much nicer than plastic, paper or stainless steel. I prefer to hand wash them and accidentally dropped them. at the bottom of a stainless steel sink, against ceramics, plates and pans. And there were no failures. I just broke one shooting it up in the air and it fell on my tile floor. Only the end is broken off, so they are surprisingly strong. I'm quite clumsy so I'll have to buy more for myself eventually and I will definitely buy them as gifts.
