It's made of flexible/soft plastic that tilts your monitors to the optimal angle for a noticeable sound improvement. They also act as a small vibration dampener from your monitors/speakers to your desk. Definitely expensive for what it is, but hey, you have to pay extra for the idea and execution. 1 star deducted because I think they could be a bit fairer with the prices. If they were $29 or so I might get 5 stars from me. I use it to tilt my Presonus Eries E4.5 and it makes a noticeable difference in the sound. My black monitors with a black kickstand also look sexy.
