I have used this product to install cables on picture frames that already had rings and it worked well. The wire is strong and the included clamps hold the ends of the wire in place. However, I then attempted to install the D-rings on the back of two picture frames that did not have pre-installed frames. I was only able to fit one D-ring because the tips of several screws broke off before I could screw them all the way into the frame. I've tried with and without pre-drilled screw holes; they broke no matter what. I decided to just replace the picture frames and buy some with the hardware already attached. I advise you not to buy this picture frame set but to buy some wire instead.
