Review on 🚗 ALAVENTE Carburetor for Volkswagen Beetle 30/31PICT - VW 113 129 029A Garage Carburetor w/Single Port Manifold - Fits 1975-1982 Models by Everald Mendez

I chose this Chinese copy of 30/31Pict because I needed a replacement. I used to take REAL 30/31Pict carburetors from '69 and '70 model bugs with 1600 single port engines and upgraded them to '71 and newer 1600 dual port engines to plug in no matter how you washed them with great success. The 30/34 Pix carburetors were nearly flawless in performance and easy adjustment. The original German 30/31 picture is becoming increasingly difficult to find today, and when it can be found it is very expensive. I thought I might get lucky with this Chinese copycat but like everything else from China it's TOTAL GARBAGE! There is no idle-to-part-throttle switching, making this carburetor impossible to control! If you have a collection of cars and all you want is a cheap carburetor that starts and idles, then this carburetor is perfect. If you want to continue driving after a carburetor change, look elsewhere.
