Unfortunately this arrived and it was NOT set to '0000' so I couldn't open it so thought I'd have to return it (pain of course). So I accidentally tried 0009 and luckily it opened. That issue aside, setting the numbers was very easy (much easier than my much older similar lock where you have to remove parts to reset the numbers). Feels solid. I bought it for my son who is 12 years old. It's a bit big and I'm having trouble figuring out where to put it on the bike. The seat tube doesn't look roomy enough, but even if there was enough room, a bottle cage got in the way. Another option is a seat post facing the rear wheel. It looks like it's rubbing against the tire, even though its seat is quite high. Possibly looking forward through the top tube, but that could rub against the insides of his legs. As such, he may need to use a backpack whenever he wants to use his lock. Remember if you are buying for a teenager you may need a smaller version. I was a little disappointed that in order to understand how the adapter cable works I had to search on google, there are no instructions. It slides out so you can access the screws, unscrew the pieces, and then twist them together with the cable in between.
