Bought this for my son to cycle to school and on the second day he couldn't turn the numbers. The last digit is completely stuck, I can't unlock it in any way. I'm glad I followed him to school to make sure he could secure them otherwise his bike wouldn't have been locked up all day. He was so upset

The lock is terrible. He randomly changes the combination to you. I had to cut the cable to get the lock off my bike when he did it at my work (thankfully my work has a good maintenance department that let me borrow a cutting tool). I figured it out after the 7 I typed somehow turned into a 6 in the combination lock. If that's not enough to put you off buying this lock, consider that the cord is almost impossible to stretch. Unfortunately this arrived and it was NOT set to '0000' so I couldn't open it so thought I'd have to return it (pain of course). So I accidentally tried 0009 and luckily it opened. That issue aside, setting the numbers was very easy (much easier than my much older similar lock where you have to remove parts to reset the numbers). Feels solid. I bought this Master Lock brand cable lock with a combination that can be reset. I took it out of the box, read the instructions, turned the dial to reset the combination and the whole lock literally fell apart. A spring snapped inside, and the small plastic numbers fell apart and scattered on the floor.
