Today I rode and rode the BOAZ track on the Dreamy Draw Trail System in Phoenix. It's a rocky trail and somewhere along the way I went for a drink and my water bottle wasn't there. I turned and drove back off the mountain but couldn't find him. I looked at the bottle cage and the housing is NOT tight, it's thin. I can easily bend it with my fingers. Went back to my truck and used some pliers to try to keep it from happening again but I don't think the body is strong enough. I can easily move the aluminum edge without much effort. If I don't want to throw bottles all over the mountain, I can either 1) ride the smoother rides (no) or 2) use some sort of velcro to keep the bottle in place, or 3) get rid of them and get something, it is much stronger. I had it not long ago - maybe a few months. I wonder what will happen in a year or five? Not very good!
