I got more than I expected with this chisel set. I needed a few notches for a project and my harder notches were gone in a few strokes. Let's get to the tools. These need to be sharpened, never expect a chisel or plane to come with a blade ready to use. The set I received was sharpened at 3540 degrees and I prefer to work at around 2528 degrees. Some work with the rough oilstone fixed this. Build up on the edge with small rocks and slip and we had the advantage. They'll take the blade, I can't tell how long they'll last 'cause. I have completed this project. If you are inexperienced with sharpening, there are plenty of guides online. You still need to learn how to sharpen to use such tools. If you ruin a sharpen, better get one of these than an expensive English one. Overall, I would consider these cuts fair value. I would buy them again and can recommend them
