I am building a complex circuit and have many (40+) of them (11 heat sources and 4 heatsinks). Unlike other compression fittings, where the ferrule can be screwed in with your fingers, this is not possible with them. I had to add some soap to smooth the compression ring and then use a strap wrench on my ½ ID ¾ OD soft PVC tubing. Unfortunately, this causes the entire pipeline segment to rotate. Of course, this can be avoided if you build some kind of turning point in the line, otherwise you'll never bolt the pipe. Because of the problems these fittings cause, I would only endorse them if you have no other choice. Do I buy it again? no Would I recommend her? no Do they hold water? Yes.
