Rugged Ridge 17750.06 Polished Aluminum Cold Air Intake

The air intake looks great but doesn't increase performance or fuel economy. The only thing you will hear is the sound of air being drawn into the engine. I drive 40 miles one way to work so I have enough time to keep track of my tank/miles and I don't see any improvement in the pass if I fill up my tank 8 times. I also know that the ECU has enough time to learn a new change (CFM) in the volume of air entering the throttle body. The rubber grommet that attaches the chrome tube to the heat shield broke within the first 2 days of installation. I had to make my own rubber grommet so it doesn't hang around in the engine bay. Installing the air sensor in the tube was very difficult. I had to add a small amount of oil to the rubber seal and take my time putting the sensor in so it doesn't crack or tear the seal. I want to return mine. Get a regular K&N filter and you will definitely get better results for $50 plus dollars than for $170!
