Oh my god I love LOVE this! I'm doing a protocol that requires a lot of herbal tea. I used gauze and, shall we say, I'm glad I didn't swear in front of the kids. The herbs stuck to the gauze like glue. I would try rinsing it out so I can reuse it, but to no avail. My old colander had a fairly large mesh size and I only passed through herbs when using cheesecloth. So travel to Revane in search of the holy grail of filters. And I found it! This strainer has a double FINE mesh, which means it keeps about 97% of my herbs out. If you strain a second time, you catch 99.9% of the herbs! That's cool! The only downside is that you'll want to squeeze every last drop out of the herbs (like you would with gauze). Honestly, it's not worth it. And this strainer is easy to clean! I let the faucet pour water into the bottom of the colander while it's upside down. I run my fingers along the bottom and it brings out most of my herbs. I can also use a dish brush and it will remove the residue. Very easy. I was a little skeptical about the price, but it's worth it! Thanks for saving my mind!
