I've never used a portable computer stand for a desk or tabletop, but I can say I'm very happy with this one. This allows me to adjust the height and angle of the keyboard and monitor, providing a much more comfortable ergonomic placement. Putting a laptop on most desks means a completely flat keyboard and monitor that you have to bend your neck to look at. It is much more comfortable to position the keyboard at an angle and raise the monitor to head level, especially when using the built-in camera. The Revain site shows some sort of logo at the bottom of the stand; there is nothing at my booth. The description says it folds up for transport, but when folded it measures approximately 8.75in (width) x 10in (dc) x 2.5in (h) (including two pieces to prevent the laptop from slipping off the stand) and weighs 1 pound 9 ounces. I don't feel comfortable carrying it back and forth. I've found online that there are other coasters that are better for carrying, but they seem more difficult to set up and keep from slipping. I read that there is rubber at the top and bottom to prevent the stand from sliding on a flat surface and the laptop from sliding on the stand. It comes fully assembled and is very easy to adjust in height and angle while standing, height and angle remain the same. The photos show how well it holds my Lenovo Flex 5 15.6-inch laptop that weighs 4.5 pounds. It comes with a hex screwdriver so you can tighten any screws that loosen over time. The higher you raise the top platform, the more unstable the stand becomes. If the top of the stand protrudes above the base, but I think you can easily raise it 6 inches from the bottom, providing a comfortable height for all but the lowest regular tables should you want to keep them in one place, I highly recommend this model.
