Review on 🔧 Johnson Evinrude 6-15hp Motor Fuel Pump - 397839, 391638, 395091, 397274, 0388685, 0388833 by Mark Bullock

1) Inlet and outlet are at different angles - I had to change the fuel lines as the original lines were now too short. 2) The entrance did not pass fuel. The lower part was sealed with plastic. As other reviews have suggested I had to drill a hole to allow the gas to flow through and reach the pump. 3) It worked great once I drilled the hole and installed - within a day. Pulled the boat into the water but it won't start. I smelled gas. I opened the engine cover and the fuel pump spat out gas every time I pressed the primer! Now I suck it up and buy a real fuel pump. Unfortunately, it costs $79, but buy once, cry once.
