Broken upon receipt. Total loss of money

Engine will not start after installing fuel pump. I checked for faults and found that I was out of fuel. I replaced the new pump with another from the same engine and the engine started working. Also, the screw on the pump breaks easily when tightened, which is necessary to keep it from leaking.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some faults

Difficult to install/stopped working immediately

First they sent the wrong size screws. Had to look for longer screws or failed to install. Second, I completed a short 10 minute drive. The next time I tried to start the boat the fuel pump failed after about 5 minutes. I had to hobble to shore because the engine kept stalling. Strongly dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Null

Not suitable. - Electric fuel pumps

The side of the motor was longer than the original so I had to use the old one. I bought the whole pump so I didn't have to disassemble and reassemble the old one. I ended up having to take both apart to change the part. I don't have the engine ready to test yet, but I'll give an extra star if it works well.

Pros
  • High test results for support and durability
Cons
  • Functionality

Don't buy this! best in spare parts

1) Inlet and outlet are at different angles - I had to change the fuel lines as the original lines were now too short. 2) The entrance did not pass fuel. The lower part was sealed with plastic. As other reviews have suggested I had to drill a hole to allow the gas to flow through and reach the pump. 3) It worked great once I drilled the hole and installed - within a day. Pulled the boat into the water but it won't start. I smelled gas. I opened the engine cover and the fuel pump spat out gas…

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Fuel inlet screw has been molded - needs drilling

Pump received all looks pretty good for use on a 1969 Evinrude 9.5hp outboard. I had to buy longer bolts to mount them to the engine but it didn't make much of a difference, just inconvenient. Went through the carburetor, dots, impeller etc. When it came time to start the engine for the first time in probably over 15 years I was able to get it running for a few seconds by manually injecting fuel into the carburetor , but it didn't seem to work. received fuel. The fill light seemed a bit odd to…
