The wine aerator is well built and feels solid. I really like the stand/holder. This will prevent the aerator from rolling and falling. The design is very nice and the wine flows through smoothly without spilling. I've tried cheap $7-10 discount store wine, no difference or improvement. I tried it with a $30 bottle of wine from a local winery and there seemed to be a slight improvement. This reduced the bitterness and made the wine smoother than what I usually find too dry for me and brought out more flavors from more expensive bottles. So it fulfills its purpose in this category. If the wine is really tasteless, it won't make it any better. If it's a good wine that already has good aroma and flavor, this aerator will help moderate the stronger flavors based on my testing.
