Bought less than 2 years ago and installed on my 1999 Honda Civic EX. The good news is that installation was easy enough if you had the right tools. The bad news is that it only comes with a 1-year warranty, and with good reason. Mine needs to be replaced again. The key is now permanently stuck in the off position, and no, it's not the steering lock mechanism. First, the dealer had to install an original Honda part. Even if I do the work again myself, it still costs the same as if I had just ordered it from the dealer. They must last longer than 2 years. Even the poorly designed original lasted 15 years. Save yourself the hassle and take it to your dealer for installation or hope another part suits you better.
