My wife always complains that she leaves things and fills up the table. One of the largest items on the table is my laptop. And although it is thin, it still occupies a large area. I managed to find this nice laptop holder that allows me to stand it upright on the floor next to my desk. The holder is quite heavy and made of metal. It's also adjustable so it fits any size you want. I was actually very happy with that. Also, it has a rubber pad so I don't just toss my laptop in a vise, it's actually quite comfortable.
