So far I am impressed with how well this product holds food without air or liquid leakage combined with the fact that it is compostable. I wasn't sure how well the cornstarch bag would hold up, but I'm happy with their performance. I opted for quart size bags. They have a white matte appearance and feel slightly matte rather than being smooth and shiny. The typical liter bags I've used from other brands tend to be more rectangular, but mostly square, more like a sandwich bag. Look closely at my photo and you will see that I put a regular sandwich bag on top of one of these bags so you can compare the size. You can see that this bag is slightly larger than a sandwich bag. I put a standard liter bag next to it so you can compare the difference. Standard liter bags are slightly taller than this. They don't have a zip puller and I agree, I usually prefer products that are simpler, cheaper and with fewer moving parts so a puller is just an unnecessary extra to me. Testing these bags in exchange for my honest review so I didn't pay for it but the seller's previous price I think is reasonable for this product although it's a bit more expensive than regular zip bags. It's worth it for those who can afford it because these bags are so much better for the environment, although I understand not everyone will have the budget to pay that much for 200 plastic zip-lock bags. You're probably only spending pennies more each day, so this can be a win-win for many, especially if you're using it to bag a lunch or dinner you'd otherwise buy at a restaurant. Packing your own meals and snacks certainly more than makes up for the extra expense, and these bags allow you to do just that, in addition to all the packaging you'll save from going to landfill, including the one-try repacking involved. food or restaurant food.
