I have thick hair just below my shoulders, I wrap 3-4 thick strips on each side resulting in very curly thick curls. For waves, try 2 large pieces or a looser pack. It creates waves or curls depending on how tight or loose you curl your hair. Additionally, to keep it in place, you need to alternate each strand of hair in opposite directions or else it will frizz. So if you wrap in one direction, the next piece will wrap in the other direction and so on. It looks more natural. Make sure the ends are well curled and the hair is at least 95% dry. Dry hair gives the best results. Wet hair will not air dry even if it has slept all night. It takes practice to wrap in opposite directions but the result is worth it and saves my hair from heat damage.
