Review on πŸ”ͺ Diablo DS0908CF 9-inch Steel Demon Carbide Reciprocating Blade for Cutting Thick Metal by Mike Sutherland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A knife cuts two cars in half, and that's not all!

I was hesitant to pay $13 net for a blade, but I have no regrets. I used it for various small projects before starting my big project of cutting two cars in half and welding the two back halves together (don't ask). Not only did he cut two cars in half, but he also cut the halves I didn't use into about 20 pieces for easier handling for me to recycle. A lot of what I cut through was thick frame material. I was probably 80% through the whole thing when the blade got pinched between two very heavy pieces of metal which crashed into each other causing the blade to seize and break. where it attaches to the saw. The teeth were still sharp, so I welded the "eye" end back to the blade and continued working with it. Now that I've finished this project I still have a nice sharp blade, albeit a welded one. The teeth are not dull at all and it's really amazing. It's almost like investing in a good tool rather than a disposable magazine that will have to wear out and throw away - I have a feeling this blade can be used continuously for the rest of the century and can be repaired from time to time.
