I bought the Johnson 430 steel angle purely because of the price. $3 for a pair of socks is a good deal, let alone a carpenter's angle. I've owned this tool for a few months but haven't found a use for it yet. I have 2 framing squares, one steel and one aluminum, and when I'm working I usually use my speed square, unless I'm doing layouts or cutting out rafters/stringers. I work as a frame fitter or remodeling/extension carpenter, depending on what interests me the most. But the Johnson square looks and feels good and is actually square. For those using a carpenter's square, this is probably the best value you will find. I definitely recommend this product for its current price.
