Great value for money but misleading product photo.

Great value for money. Very durable. Only gave 4 stars because as other reviews have pointed out the picture does not accurately show the small round notch on the 90 degree joint but I was aware of that prior to purchase. Removing the sticker wasn't difficult so I think they listened to the complaints and changed the sticker.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Disappear

A little hard, made in China

The product does not match the picture in the description and is made in China. He looks strong and fat. The measurements appear to be fairly accurate and the angle is likely very close, if not 90 degrees. I also don't like that it has a circle in the corner which isn't shown in the description and there are only inches.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some flaws

Amazing for the price

For the price it's like they pay you to take it. It's solid, accurate, great finish, but a little hard to read. I just filled the groves and bam no more problems. I've never had an issue with the finish like others, but I only use it internally on my leather desktop. Again, the price is amazing and I enjoy working with it every day. Highly recommended.

Good construction but needs to be square

Square looks good nice and strong but it wasn't really square. When I held the short side against the straight edge and drew a line along the long side, flipped it over and drew the other, my edges were about 1/16 inch apart. Checking on a piece of paper and a machine square confirmed my conclusions. However, I was able to straighten it out with a punch and hammer, as I found out on YouTube. The edges are all nice and straight and the sides are parallel, so that's a plus. All said and done, it…

  • Repair

I only have a kitchen table for measuring / cutting fabrics, so there is often a lot of hangover and Fabric slides everywhere. This and my large carpenter's square not only measure and align, but also help hold the fabric in place. Also good for art projects when I need to line things up. Lines and numbers are very legible. In terms of accuracy, I haven't seen any issues with paper or fabric projects that require parts to be aligned, so the ones I got were aligned just fine. The line markings…

Wouldn't buy again. JE.

tool is accurate and well built. I complain that the manufacturer is so proud of their markings that they stuck them on with permanent glue. And I mean PERMANENTLY. I've tried goo-gone, paint thinner, and denatured alcohol. The only thing I've found that comes close to removing the label is 3M Commercial Adhesive Remover, which also removes anti-rust paint. You may be wondering why are you removing the label in the first place? Yes, because it completely obscures the measurement markings on…

Excellent purchase. for carpenter's angle

I bought the Johnson 430 steel angle purely because of the price. $3 for a pair of socks is a good deal, let alone a carpenter's angle. I've owned this tool for a few months but haven't found a use for it yet. I have 2 framing squares, one steel and one aluminum, and when I'm working I usually use my speed square, unless I'm doing layouts or cutting out rafters/stringers. I work as a frame fitter or remodeling/extension carpenter, depending on what interests me the most. But the Johnson square…

Great Price at $3.10

This is a handy little 8" x 12" square for around the home or most other projects. lost, stolen or misused. For those like me who only use this tool occasionally (at best), this is a tool that will 'never be needed' until they do. Another viewer cried that the tag couldn't be removed. I almost didn't buy it because of his whining. I'm still glad I did. My tag peeled off so easily without leaving so many stains that a child could easily remove it. It seems to me that if this crying customer…
