Seastones are aesthetically pleasing and do the job: chill scotch or whiskey to below room temperature. It doesn't chill your drink as much as ice. I think that's a good thing, as most experts agree that Scotch whiskey should be drunk close to room temperature so as not to lose any of the subtle notes on the palate. However, if you want your drink colder, place the glass in the freezer before use. The combination of frosted glass and granite cooler allows you to get a fairly cold drink. The packaging was well done; Glasses were a nice bonus. Note that the stones are deeper than they appear in the photo. They don't really look like discs, more like cylinders that take up quite a bit of space in your glass. But since these are aesthetic stones, this is not a disadvantage. I was happy with my purchase.
