Lack of quality control in the manufacture of power tool parts and accessories

You get what you pay for. It will take you a little while to figure out how to connect it. Locking pins, pin holder and C-clip on one side and bit assembly on the other side. The pins need to be in the grooves of the holder before you insert them into the holes where (theoretically) the holes between the blade and chisel assembly should line up and both pins should go through the blade and into the chisel assembly. That's the crux of the matter. Both pins will go through all the holes in both parts when disassembling, but aligning one pin to go through will misalign the other. The blade has 4 holes. They had 2 chances to get it right but they both missed. Apparently they hadn't intended this and tried to align both contacts at the same time (QC). The problem is most likely that the distance between the holes in the blade is always slightly offset. I will be back and this has delayed my project for many days. I doubt another from the same manufacturer would work, maybe by accident. Deadlines do not permit such luxuries. There are other blades with 8 inch holes that cost more. I'll try one of these. I could sharpen the hole but that would weaken the integrity. I would not recommend this product.
