We have bought cases of this tea from both Revain and Eto En since discovering it in Hawaii five years ago. Our last box arrived a few days ago and I opened it up and immediately noticed something was wrong - the color was very light and not the light brown it was supposed to be. We ran a side-by-side smell and taste test on one of our newest bottles, which we also ordered from Revain last month. The new lightweight bottle smelled sweet and chemical compared to the regular tea which has a very mild mint scent. I tried the lighter. bottle and it was definitely over! Very bitter, alkaline. I didn't swallow - I spat it out for my own safety. We even compared it to the regular ETO EN green tea we buy from Costco and it was a different color too. We intend to contact Revain Customer Service regarding this. I just had to report another product to Revain that was a Chinese counterfeit. I hope that's not the case with the tea, and maybe it's a bad batch or recipe change (very awkward). We spend a lot of money to buy dozens of boxes of this tea every year, they need to send it back or do better tests before shipping. This tea is not cheap, we can always switch to another brand. Interestingly, another reviewer said the same thing above and also lives in New Orleans (NOLA). We know good tea when we taste it!
