Review on ARSUXEO Cycling Shorts Ressistant Medium Sports & Fitness for Cycling by Christian Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pockets, size, durability, bike style - some thoughts

RATING: I've rounded up to 5 as this is a no complaint purchase but they actually fall more in the 4.25/4.5 class. However, I bought two first and was pleased enough to get another pair. POCKETS - Zippered pockets are ideally placed for cycling. You can zip and unzip them easily, even if you're moving at a decent pace. I take lots of photos of everyday nature, and sometimes I also feel the need to turn on a song on my little mini Bluetooth speaker and sometimes answer an emergency call. So my phone went on and off multiple times during the 2.5 hour drive. I've never had a problem getting my phone in and out of my pocket, nor have I had any problems with zippers while cycling (on non-strenuous trails, of course). does not affect my trip in any way. I can barely feel it and I think it's because it's quite snug. He doesn't push and doesn't try to get out. Also, my car keys (a small keychain with two regular keys) didn't bother me in either the other top pocket or the bottom pocket. They don't swing when I pedal or flip flop. This is very important while driving. A few things to note: I have an iPhone 11 - not sure how "maximum" cell phone line sizes work in pockets. They appear to fit in the bottom zip pocket, but are horizontal instead of vertical - this may affect your ride depending on your body type. They don't fit the top zippers at all it seems to me. There are two zipped pockets on the sides, but they "overlap" each other. This means if you have an element in each one, they'll be layered, one inside, one outside - so they can pop out a bit. That's why I never use both on one side - phone on a top zip, keys on the other side. Zippered pockets in "jeans" are nice, but not very convenient or useful when cycling. Size 31-32 in jeans but the small size seemed like an unreasonable choice. I went for medium and they fit perfectly. This means I don't have to adjust these Velcro straps at all. So the sizing is a bit off. Medium is currently reading 33-36. Maybe they're trying to translate the sizes to us taller Americans, but they're a little wrong. I would estimate based on their schedule (as of July 21st). That said, if you're really a 35/36, a larger size might be better. DURABILITY - I wore and washed my first two pairs about 5 times. and while it's not a ton I can say they are NOT designed to last a lifetime. I've only ridden a bike in it and played pickleball once. Threads do not stick out, there are no breaks, wear is noticeable. BUT, they're really just a bunch of fabric panels stacked on top of each other - I think you're paying a relatively lower price for that. I don't use things with velcro as Ms fit me, but I see that a) they come undone when you wear them because they appear thin, and b) usually either due to wear and tear or - for washing - don't work - just my feeling STYLE BIKE. As mentioned, I mainly ride a hybrid bike on paved trails, slightly loose gravel and dirt. I don't ride heavy mountain bikes. I would NOT take them for this type of driving. They are designed for a more relaxed ride, indicated by the missing step. Also I can't say if the pads fit as it's not really my thing. So I see they will last 1.5-2 years. 50/60 washes and socks before anything goes wrong with the materials themselves. Compare men's swim trunks or even golf shorts. I buy them somehow and they will accompany me much longer. USE FOR OTHER THINGS - I only have two other styles of shorts: fun pant-style golf shorts and basketball shorts. They are more resilient than the former and have a thinner and more streamlined profile than the latter. They are great for regular/intermediate cycling compared to my other shorts - they don't blow in the wind but allow me to move more freely. They also seem to be great for anything water related - boating, fishing. , etc. - although I'm not really an expert on the subject. They are NOT suitable for pickleball or tennis. It is not easy to score and remove balls from the pockets. And the pockets (all) are too small to comfortably fit balls in them. They seem to be suitable for everyday use, but I bought them in crazy colors to avoid getting hit by cars and other things, so I'm not sure if they are definitely orange or gumball blue suitable for everyday use. Last but not least, the name is terrible. My daughter and I love the random letters that some Chinese manufacturers put on clothes. We have a TOPESCT iPad case - we laugh every day trying to figure out how to say it or what it could mean. Please reply if you have an idea. It said: Arsuxeo = Ass Sucks Tuxedo? Ass sucking in fancy pants! Sorry if this is offensive, but we find it hilarious.
