I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra in a case that includes the S Pen. It's wide. The Arkon phone holder is great for putting my phone in quickly and easily. i love this part I installed the device in my trailer. The hand it's attached to isn't the best design though. It suits me that the mounting base is screw-in. The lever uses one set screw for both adjustment balls, which I don't like about it. I know they make one with separate elbows that you can pinch on each and maybe I should have bought one but how do you know until you try it? What I don't like about this phone mount is that my phone wobbles. It's not very durable. I wonder if there is a phone mount that doesn't wobble?
