Having used this appliance around the house several times a week, I can say that I like it very much. It's compact yet powerful enough to pick up cat dander, bird seed, dust and dirt, and any particles that constantly land on wooden floors. I actually leave it in the master bedroom, tucked under a dresser and plugged in, and if I see anything I just pull it out and put things away and then slide it back in. Will definitely be ordering more for a few other rooms. We have a bunch of full size vacuums, stick vacuums and handheld vacuums (with two cats, a medium sized parrot, a gecko, a teenager and a husband in his fifties and the garden is under construction, I need all the vacuums). I can pull myself together) and this kid makes collecting random odds and finishing painless. It works when plugged in, but the cord is pretty short so you don't have much room to clean. The real problem with these vacuums is when they stop sucking or don't hold a charge. I will definitely update my review if this happens. But for now I am very happy with the fact that I have a tiny vacuum that hides under or in small spaces and still has enough power for the actual cleaning.
